Debenham's finally signs up for the rubble zone!

Yes at last the Toothless and Gutless is able to report truthfully what it has been reporting for several months or so. However anyone can get such an agreement if there is sufficient small print to let the tenant wriggle out. So what we need to know is a what point does it become binding on Debenhams (i.e what percentage of units have to be let before they are obliged to occupy their part of the completed development) and what are the other get-out clauses - there is usually a clause that lets them out if construction hasn't been completed by a certain date. Interestingly towards the end of his usual hagiographic editorial old Allegro-Hushpuppy bares his teeth "and an even better way to win over the city would be for Westfield to announce when construction work will finally begin on the site". Watch out Maud that poodle is turning vicious!
