Oh dear that veil just doesn't go with that burk(a). You will note the daring embroidary on the sleeves though!

What exactly is your problem? no freedom of choice any more.

Of course there is - with

Of course there is - with the accompanying freedom to riddicule - I mean if you which not to be noticeable why wear clothing that makes you stand out like a sore thumb? Equally why the flash emboridary on the sleeves of a burka - doesn't it rather defeat the objects of being uniform and not drawing attention~?

I suggest if you do want an

I suggest if you do want an argument at least make an effort to understand the subject you are ridiculing. Your local BNP candidate (who most likely wears some toolbox around his neck from Elizabeth Duke) is not an authoritative source. Once you do come up with a logical ARGUMENT I will be more than happy to debate.

You don't get it do you -

You don't get it do you - I've no objection what so ever to burkas - so much so that I see them as objects of amusement not objects of fear and/or hatred. Now if would like to extract your head from your arse we can discuss why it is necessary to wear sandstorm gear in a country where sandstorms (at present) are somewhat rare.

Or indeed why muslim men are incapable of controlling their reaction to the sight of women that such drastic measures are necessary in a country where women can walk stark-naked through the streets with little chance of attracting attention of any nature whether welcome or otherwise.

Of course it's a matter of choice and wanting to stand out to prostelysing your rather naive version of islam just like barmy christians rant in the streets - doesn't make you anything other than figures of fun for people who aren't quite so genetically predisposed to use the "god" survival mechanism of shortcutting reason in these civilised times.

You can of course do what you like - just don't expect me not to laugh at you if it involves any reference to ancient middle-eastern lifestyle guides such are the torah, bible or koran. They seem to me just as bizarre as their modern day equivalents such as Trinny and Sue.

Now switch off the faith blinkers and flip your brain in gear and discuss the matter without reference to your religion. If your conclusion is that muslim women must wear burkas because muslim men are incapable of controlling their primitive reactions to the sight of women's bodies then my only conclusion can be send the bloody men to classes to learn how to control their sexual urges. If it isn't then what other reason do you have for wearing culturally inappropriate clothing (we at least keep our nuns locked away in nunneries) - if it's that you want to stand out and be different then stop whining because if we laugh at you you have clearly got a result.

Instead of moaning about my views which I am entitled to hold and express why not join me in a game of hajib bingo?

Actually on mature reflection I suppose laughing at people for their religion is somewhat akin to laughing at circus freaks, the disabled and the mentally ill so I'll do a deal with you - I won't laugh at your religion so long as you understand the reason I don't is that it would be like laughing at someone who is mentally ill.
