Ah at last the sort of american blog that sits in my comfort zone (unlike, for example, that of Zaftig). To clarify matters my comfort zone is one where americans are unthinking, rightwing, right to life, gunslinging, fundamental christian supporters of anything Israel does. Nothing sums things up better than this I won't bother going into detail but if he thinks that science suggests that there was nothing before the big bang then he's seriously demented.

Step up VoB, tell me what
Step up VoB, tell me what came before :)
Tell me where the something came from after the nothing of the beginning... I'm all ears.
gunslinging heh, love that, almost as good as demented.
But I leave the floor to you, prove your points.

Yawn - typical religious
Yawn - typical religious nutcase questions - go f*cking well read a bit of science instead of the middle eastern version of Trinny & Sue's lifestyle guide. Don't ask me I'm not going to dignify your insanity by arguing with it.
Christ I hate religious people - especially ones who believe.
So basically you don't know,
So basically you don't know, good. Just wanted to clear that up. Science contends that there was nothing and then there was something, in which the something there came a 'big-bang' (other theories arise, but this is the one we were discussing).
Now if you feel or believe that this is wrong, then say what's wrong with it. Hard to believe that you would call a serious question that has stumped scientists since the dawn of man a 'religious nutcase question', but I guess that's just you.
Btw, where are you going in 203 days (your countdown)?
Only your misunderstanding
Only your misunderstanding of a noddy version of the science contends that.
Once you tell me what came before g*d (as you like to spell the tw*ts name) then I'll consider educating you*.
I would guess that since you are obviously one of the idiot class of christian you won't be aware that St Augustine reached the conclusion that before god there was nothing some considerable time ago - which is precisely the same answer as your noddy version of science.
* Oh go on then - the current state of play is we don't know (and indeed some theories say we cannot know) - you see unlike you religious nutjobs we scientists admit there are things that are at present beyond our understanding, we just don't assign them to figments of our imagination we merely mark the map "here be dragons" and get on with problems we can deal with.
