Bradford Degeneration Correct but not Politically Correct

Oh dear it seems that in his relentless pursuit of Sir Ian Blair's job the twit (aka Sir Norman Bettison in freemason/criminal circles) in charge of West Yorkshire's spineless is seeking to demonstrate his ability to concentrate on spin rather than catching crims by devoting legions of his staff to managing his wikipedia entry and ensuring it says only what he wants it to say (point for idiot -3 O'levels and two can't fail Masters* - plod - an encyclopedia entry is meant to be a true record of your career blots and all not a hagiography and you certainly shouldn't edit your own entry or use your staff to do so, that's a bit like inserting words the suspect didn't say into a statement - something plod are always getting kicked in the goolies for).

Now let's pick some highlights of WY Police during his fine career - well they merrily send probationers into die against armed robbers while their crack armed officers are facing dangerous criminals like diabetics and arresting them under the terrorism act for going into a diabetic coma and looking a bit odd. You regularly see police on the streets of Bradford harrassing beggars while drug deals are going on just yards away. During his career WY Police managed to ignore militant muslims in Dewsbury mixing up bathtubs of explosives (many a local muslim has expressed their frustration at the fact the police refused to act on their reports regarding the nutjobs in Dewsbury) but then proceeded to let his officers run round Bradford arresting people for possession of books sold by Amazon.

In short he's exactly the sort of incompetent who will make Sir Ian Blair look like a very model police officer.

If I have time I'll check the things he had deleted from the record and find some more examples of police stupidity on his watch.

Meanwhile enjoy the comments about the local moron here, what wikipedia thinks of the egotistical drittsekk, what rank and file coppers think of the great Poobah, enjoy the boys on arrse giving him a bit of a severe bumming or marvel at him here exploiting one of his junior officier's bravery to rant about 'elf and safety (on that note remember this was the Chief Nutter who thinks his armed officers should be out tasering harmless mental health cases while probationers should be sent to face armed robbers, I must also check whether it was him or his predessor who warned local officers that 'elf and safety meant they wouldn't get any compensation if they got stabbed while not wearing the hugely uncomfortable stab-resistant vests.)

Now of course he will claim he wasn't responsible for any of the failure since he only stepped into the role in 2006 but remember he was Cheif Arselicker to the CC until 1998 (that's ACO in officialese) and thus put in place many of the policies (particularly the Neighbourhood policing teams that harass schoolkids while terrorists mix explosives and drug dealers deal drugs) that lead to WY police allowing local terrorists to blow up fifty odd people in London. When will the police learn that it's not spin that counts it's catching criminals?

MP blames police for football disaster
A LABOUR MP broke down and wept in the Commons yesterday as she demanded that South Yorkshire police should accept blame for the Hillsborough stadium soccer disaster.
Labour's Maria Eagle sobbed as she made the call and said the police should seek reconciliation with relatives and friends of those who died.
Miss Eagle, a Liverpool supporter who said she represented some of the bereaved families, said that after studying the evidence she concluded that South Yorkshire police "behaved abominably" before the inquiry.
"They orchestrated what can only be described as a black propaganda campaign which aimed to deflect the blame for what had happened on to anyone other than themselves.
"They were not preparing a case for the inquiry. They were preparing a defence. The fans, and that includes the victims and the club, were the main targets."
She said that it was time to get the South Yorkshire Police force to "face up to their responsibility — accept that they were to blame, not that they contributed and that others were to blame as well," the MP claimed.
She also stated that the police should also consider making "serious efforts to have some reconciliation with the families, because until this happens those families will not be able to proceed from the anger and anguish they feel and grieve — and they will not be able to proceed to continue to live their lives."Ms Eagle was listened to from the Government's front bench by her sister Angela Eagle, an environment minister.

and who was in charge of this black propaganda campaign? - yes our dear old spin-doctor in uniform Sir Norm of Spin himself! Just for the record he claimed he was only the mailboy and didn't alter statements but merely removed hearsay and emotional baggage from the evidence - so that's shredding whole wodges of evidence then eh Norm?

Oh and while the stupid git was doing this wasn't some child missing somewhere on his patch?

It also seems he's a greedy little piggy who threatened legal action if he wasn't allowed to take a huge pension and a huge salary at the same time talk about snouts in the trough?

Strangely I can't find any reference to a Masters degree in Philosophy and Psychology on google in relation to Oxford I wonder if Mr Spin has missed out that insignificant "Brookes" word that many people find so inconvenient - has he done an Archer (who famously converted some short teaching course in Oxfordshire into a degree from the Uni)? The closest is the Psychology and Philosopy degree. Either Sir Norm of 3Olevels is so bloody thick he can't even get his own degree right or he didn't get it from Oxford University - take your choice. Update - there are claims in the Liverpool press that he got a scholarship* to Oxford in 1981 (although strangely no college is identified) so that means Norm the Thick was there at the same time as me - never met a single Norman at uni, then again mature students were generally assumed to be unsavoury people like americans and policemen. This allegation of a proper education (but again without the college that would give it credence, they do however give a degree that exists unlike Sir Norm's IT geeks) is repeated here. It could of course be that he was so isolated in his time at Oxford being so up his own arse that he failed to notice which college he was at.

And while all this is happening what is the local poodle press the Toothless and Gutless doing? Why licking his arse as per usual.

* Not a college scholarship which entails being clever merely a payment to attend from funds that should have been spent catching criminals. There are some interesting comments on these wankers at the Kent Police Museum website:

Several other officers who had been selected for accelerated promotion and granted a scholarship to attend university (including Oxford and Cambridge), left the force shortly afterwards. Others advanced rapidly through the ranks, often to the chagrin of the 'street policemen' who had gained considerable practical experience in their chosen profession but were overtaken by these 'flyers' whose 'street cred.' was limited to say the least.

Such was the growth of these university courses that Chief Constable Barry Pain was compelled to recommend to the Police Authority that no more than four officers a year should be permitted to attend such courses. Of course, this did not prevent officers studying in their own time for Open University degrees or the London University external degrees. By 1986 the force included 109 graduates (3.7% of the force). This number rose to 114 (3.9%) in 1987 and 130 in 1989 . Subsequent levels were not published in the Chief Constable's Annual Report but, in 1994, no less than 12 officers, from constable to chief superintendent, were awarded degrees by the Open University and two obtained a Master's degree.

I think that means they are arseholes and tosspots. Much like Sir Norm really!
