Anyone who follows this site will know that I am a banned individual on the T&A forum because I refuse to toe their line of allowing racists lunatics to post unchallenged. You will also know that the T&A are too tightfisted to properly monitor their forums to control the sort of racist bigot they attract and that to draw attention to the lack of proper controls I regularly sign on at weekends when there is absolutely NO control and taunt the usual suspects all of which gets deleted on Monday morning when the office junior in charge gets to her desk. Alas this week was a bank holiday and they didn't delete the weekend mayhem until tuesday and I presume AFTER they had made the selections for the items from the forum to reprint in Friday's paper (yes they do seem to prepare part of Friday's paper on tuesday - unless that is there is so little co-ordination between paper and website they don't realise they are reprinting items from someone who is "ban on sight")

No prizes for guessing which contributor I was!

BTW the answer to the question is no.

Newsquest Couldn't Moderate A Moderates Convention

Good to see the point as ever being missed by the likes of those who think they should be able to peddle race hate. Newsquest won't invest in moderation because the whgole operation is run on a shoestring these days. They can't see they're cutting off their noses though. If they don't moderate to stimulate intelligent discussion rather than simply be a platform for the knucklegrazing intellectually challenged numpties then how do they differentiate themselves from a thousand and one other crap net forums? Why would advertisers want to be associated with comments and forums which are just platforms for personal abuse, incitement and the plain childish? Newsquest has no internet strategy. That's the siomple truth. They've already halted comments on one of its titles - once they've sussed that they can't really stop 'banned' posters reappearing then either the forums will die a similarly painful death or the stupid Yanks in charge might realise they're going to have to dip a hand in a pocket to fund proper moderation.

Why the hell would I want to avoid a ban? It's not as though the T&A forum is a valuable community is it?

You've really missed the point too since the reason I re-register is to highlight the fact they refuse to put in the resources to stop people being abusive out of office hours, I could hardly do that by playing sneaky and avoiding a ban by being a snivelling little cunt could I?
